Back on Track!

Workout: Walk/Run 2.5 miles: 31 min 4 sec and BODYPUMP class

 

This morning I had to leave this little face to go to school…

 

Don’t worry Rocky, I’ll be home all summer with you :)

I ate my favorite overnight oats for breakfast after taking a few days off from the oats.  I had an almost empty peanut butter jar, so I put them in there and they were fantastic.

My favorite overnight oats are:

*1/4 cup Organic Irish Style Oats (pictured above)

*1/2 container of SO Delicious Coconut yogurt – blueberry flavor (SO GOOD!!!)

*1/4 cup Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

* 1 Tbsp flax seed

*blueberries

*peanut butter

I was really excited to be at one of my schools today because I am in the process of moving into a bigger classroom! I’m sooooo happy that my instrumental program is growing!  Next year, I will have even more students in my orchestra and we will be in a bigger room! YAY!!

After school, I went to the gym for a BODYPUMP class.  I actually got there early and got on a treadmill to make up for my laziness last night.  I feel so good getting 2.5 miles in on the treadmill and then doing a BODYPUMP class! I know that I will be able to run more in the morning this summer and take my pump and spin classes at night :)

My BODYPUMP set up today!! I’m in love with this class! I get it now. I read so many blogs that went on and on about this class and now I know why.  I was really comfortable with it today for my second class because I knew what to expect.  I’m still on the baby sized weights, but that is okay because I have 0% arm muscle.  Hopefully that will change!!!

Even though I was kinda lazy last night and didn’t run I feel so much better today and I’m ready for spin class tomorrow night! Classes are such a change for me. I trained for my last marathon by myself for almost every single run.  20 miles by yourself doing the same loop 3 times is BORING!  I love the energy of something different and being around other people!

Going to watch Colby play soccer tonight!  I’ll have to hold back from tweeting the whole time so I pay attention and take some pictures of him!  :)

  1. first of all, i’m super jealous that you’re going to the HLS. i so wish i could go but it’s just not in the cards for me this year. i have a lot going on this summer.

    second, i am SO HAPPY that you’re loving bodypump! one of the cool things about it is being able to go up in weight and see your muscles develop! i love doing cardio before BP too! ;)

    • I wish you were going to HLS so I could meet you! You totally have enough going on this summer so I will just have to meet you in the future!! I loved my second bodypump class with my little girl weights today. It was so much fun and I can’t wait until my arms look like yours! ;)
