Wedding Madness!

Saturday Workout: 3 miles on treadmill (29:05) and BodyPump!!

I got to the gym around 745 and got on the treadmill for an easy run.  This was my third run of the week with a long run (7 miles) tomorrow so that means I got all my runs in this week! I did lower the amounts from my original training plan, but that is okay. I rushed over to the BodyPump room when I was finished on the treadmill and it was SO CROWDED! I barely found space to ‘pump and there were hardly any weights left! If you’ve been to BodyPump you know that there are usually 3 different size weights for the bar: 1 kg, 2.5 kg and 5 kg. There were no medium 2.5 kg weights left!! What was I going to do?? So I bumped up almost all my weights this morning and stood next to a lady that had extra medium weights that I borrowed for a few tracks!

The current BodyPump release I have been doing at the gym.

Today I did these weights for each track:

(S=small 1 kg, M=medium 2.5 kg and L=large 5 kg)

(1 kg = 2.2 lbs, 2.5 kg = 5.5 lbs, 5 kg = 11 lbs)

1. Warm up: M and S

2. Squat: L and S

3. Chest: M and S

4. Back: L

5. Triceps: M and S + 4lb hand weight for part of the track

6. Biceps: M and S

7. Lunges: L

8. Shoulders: M + 4 lb hand weight for part of the track

9. Abs

10. Cool Down

So if you are a BodyPump-er, let me know what you think of my weights. I am VERY proud of what weights I was able to use this morning because I have definitely worked my way up to this. Some tracks are still really difficult for me to up my weight on (chest and triceps).

So after my workout, I rushed home to shower and go see a possible wedding venue with Colby and my mom!!

I loved this place!!!!!

Front of the venue

In the back where the ceremony would be held. Flowers everywhere and the lady said next year’s flowers would all be pink!

Leading down to the ceremony area.

Ceremony area… love that flowers are everywhere. It really reminded me of a beautiful garden and I just loved it. The only thing that would upset me is if it rains next October and I couldn’t have it outside! The inside of the mansion was really what I am looking for and so different from the typical reception hall. We are going to think it all over for a little bit!

After looking at the venue, we went to the Jeweler to get my ring sized down. I was getting a little nervous about how big it was when I was at school this week and it is nice and snug now! I even got to look at wedding bands! I think I’m really starting to like this wedding thing…  🙂

Later, Mom treated us to some goodies from the cake shop we will be using. I LOVE the dark chocolate ones and peanut butter! So good! Now I get to work on my grad work this afternoon and have some night plans with the family. Hope you are having a great Saturday!!

  4. That place is gorgeous! I’m in a wedding on Oct 1st of this year at a place that looks a lot like that, the ceremony is even around a pool/pond like that one. Fingers crossed the weather cooperates. We did a restored old Greek mansion for our wedding venue and I loved it compared to the normal “factory” type banquet halls. It was different and fun!

  5. That running venue is just beautiful! I keep picturing all these really nice pictures that could be taken there.

  6. That venue looks gorgeous!! I’ve always dreamed of an outdoor wedding.

    • YAY! I was waiting to see if you would look at my weights! I was pretty happy with myself! I feel like the secret is going at least 2 times a week. When I could only fit one in a week I couldn’t move up weight because I would get so sore! I’m going to pump pump pump this year to get ready for the wedding 🙂

  10. That venue is breathtaking and with pink flowers…it’s going to be gorgeous. Wedding planning is so fun, enjoy every moment.
